O heavenly host of angels sing, the song of your employ:
Glory to God, peace and good-will, good tidings of great joy.
The Lord of glory dwelleth, in form of human clay;
The ‘seed of woman’ promised, Who in a manger lay.

O Christ, the joy of hea’ven, the Father’s sole delight;
‘Tis He whom angels bow before, Who floods the world with light.
‘Tis He was born of Mary, O hear the angel’s song;
In David’s little city, the Saviour, Christ, is born!

O Wonderful, O Counselor, O Mighty Prince of Peace;
